Placements


UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The purpose of this page will be to provide information about where our kids might get placed by DCPP:

  • residential facilities

  • schools

  • camps and summer programs

  • pre-schools and day care - headstart etc.

Well Being Assessment questions to think about:

  1. Is the child/youth currently placed in the least restrictive, most family-like setting according to their needs?

  2. Is the child/youth placed with kin (e.g., relatives, close family friend)?

  3. How many placements has the child/youth been in during their current stay in out-of-home care?

  4. How many placements has the child/youth been in in the last 6 months?

  5. Does the child/youth have regular and consistent visitation with their parents?

  6. Does the child/youth have regular and consistent visitation with their siblings?

  7. Does the child/youth have a positive relationship with their current caregiver(s) (e.g., foster parent, group home staff) and/or others in the home (e.g., siblings, other children/youth in placement)?

  8. Is permanency (e.g., reunification, guardianship, adoption) for the child/youth likely in the next 6 months?

  9. Does the child/youth maintain connections to their family or community in terms of friends, religious communities, and cultural connections?
