LSNJLAW Hotline - by the non-profit Legal Services of NJ provides free civil legal assistance to low-income people in New Jersey.
OTLS - Newark Office of Tenant Legal Services for low-income tenants facing eviction by the City of Newark
ENLS - Essex Newark Legal Services for low-income Essex County residents needing assistance with civil legal matters
Rutgers Law Child and Family Advocacy Clinic in Camden accepts cases from mid-August to April. Call 856-225-6568
Helping Survivors helps victims of sexual assault or abuse with legal information and help. They specifically mention getting legal help in cases involving Uber or Lyft rideshares, clergy, foster care, school, workplace, juvenile detention and doctors.
Also, New Jersey Courts has information with reminders on What to Expect When Visiting a Courthouse, for any reason, including a list of prohibited items.
And the NJYRS web site has a section called Legal Overview with information on your legal rights, rights of siblings, attending court, requesting a copy of your file, knowing your legal guardian, disability and social security benefits, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs), and immigration.
