The NJYRS website has an Expectant and Parenting Youth page with information on NJ Family Care Insurance, Planned Parenthood, NJFPL, WIC, housing programs, rights for pregnant or parenting students, early intervention system, fatherhood programs, and more.

  • Parents Inc. of NJ has a list of resources by county and support groups for parents. Call their hotline at 800-THE-KIDS

  • Mom2Mom is a group that supports parents of children with special needs.

  • Developmental Milestones for 6 months through 4 years - graphical chart of milestones published by www.cdc.gov/ActEarly

  • North Porch has centers where they will provide critical supplies for babies and toddlers in need

  • Zipmilk has a list of centers that provide services to pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women.

Children grow quickly, and need clothes and equipment and appropriate car seats. In addition to places like Goodwill and the Salvation Army, low cost and free baby items may be found from Facebook groups like Facebook Marketplace and online sites like Craigslist. Remember to always be cautious when making transactions with people you meet online.
