For help getting a job and starting your career:
Job Corps provides free career training, education and paid internships for 16- through 24-year-olds at no cost to students. Sign up for an info session here or call 800-733-JOBS.
Career Services offered by the State of NJ Department of Labor including job openings, online sources, career support and apprenticeship opportunities
PACES (Pathways to Academic and Career Exploration to Success) supports youth in foster care, ages 16-21, with educational and employment coaching. Scroll down on their web-page to provide your contact info and select “Employment Services”

Newark Youth One Stop Career Center (NYOSCC)
The NJYRS has a section on Employment section that covers career exploration, resumes and cover letters, finding a job, the interview process, and trade careers.

Minimum wage in New Jersey is $15.92/hour ($6.05/hour for tipped workers and $18.92/hour for long-term care facility workers.) If you have a wage complaint you can file it with the NJ Department of Labor here.
